This 10-CD set was released 5 September 2006 according to Amazon. According to my research, tracks are drawn from the following original albums: tracks 1, 2, and 15 are from Shaskeen, "The Shaskeen", Release Records BRL 4053, 1974; tracks 3, 10, and 16 are presumably from Eamon Mitchell Group, "Sliabh Gallion Braes," Outlet SOLP 1034, 1977; tracks 4, 11, and 17 are from "The Éamonn Ceannt Céilí Band – Dancing in Ireland," also released under the title "Dance to the Éamonn Ceannt Céilí Band," both as Outlet SOLP 1025, 1975; tracks 5 and 13 might be from Green Cross Ceili Band, "Dance My Country" Cuchulainn, est. 1973, based on a mention in Billboard 18 Aug. 1973, p. 45; tracks 6, 12, and 18 are from Dun Na Ri Ceili Band, no known source or date; tracks 7 and 19 might be from Pride of Erin Céilí Band, "Harvest Time in Ireland," Outlet SOLP 1036, 1979; tracks 8 and 14 might be from Malachy Doris Ceili Band, "Irish Night Out," Major Minor Records 1970, or from any number of other old Malachy Doris recordings; track 9 is from Pride of Erin Ceili Band, "Fermanagh Ceili," Outlet SOLP 1030, 1977 (note the error on this Celtic Souls CD which credits track 9 to Shaskeen); track 20 is from Fred Hanna Ceili Band. Track 21 is not indexed here (The Soldiers Song - Orchestral). |
