Artist Name | McGreevy and Cooley |
Album Title | McGreevy and Cooley |
Musicians | John McGreevy (fiddle), Seamus Cooley (flute) |
Source and other information | Philo PH 2005, 1974. LP format. Recorded in North Ferrisburg, Vermont. The dates on the LP packaging are quite inconsistent. On the back of the album jacket, both copyright and production years are printed as "1974," and Miles Krassen's commentary on the content of the album is signed "July 19, 1974." But on the liner notes insert, copyright is printed as "1975." And on the LP label itself, production and copyright years are printed as "1976" in the text above the track listing, but below the track listing the production year is printed as "1974." The year "1974" is used here until better dating evidence is found. The strongest evidence in favor of the 1974 date is that the higher-numbered Philo releases (2006 through 2014) are also dated 1974 and then 1975. Confer the list of Philo releases in the Wikipedia article about Philo. |
